Let’s Prepare Our Garden For Winter
The winter months are fast approaching, so now is the time that you want to begin your preparation for the winter months. Today, we are going to share with you some ways that you can prepare your garden for winter.
Pack Away Goods
One of the first things you will need to do to get your garden ready for winter is tidying away. This is especially important if you have children who have lots of summer garden toys out. During the winter months, leaving items out can cause them to get ruined. So, we would recommend that you pack away any toys or garden furniture that you are not going to use throughout the winter to ensure they are kept in a good condition for the upcoming summer.
Cut Your Lawn
Before the wet weather set upon us, you want to ensure that you have given your lawn one last cut. This will help to keep it under control during the winter months. It becomes impossible to cut your lawn during the winter as the grass is too wet. So, whilst it’s dry, give it a cut so you can have the easiest time when spring comes around.
Harvest Your Crops
Some of the crops you have been growing through the summer months will be ready for their harvest. You may have been leaving these in for a little while longer to grow to their full potential, but now is the time to harvest them. You want to harvest your crops before the winter months so they do not spoil over as this will be a waste.
There is much more you can do in your garden to prepare for the winter months. But now is the time to complete these three main tasks. This will help to ensure your garden is fully ready for the coming winter months.
